Performance will vary depending on the configuration of your Macintosh computer. See the following systems requirements for the Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 product to help you decide if you can install and run Virtual PC 7 on your PowerPC-based Mac.

Note on the effects of anti-virus and pop-up blocker software installed on the user's computer:
The Challenger Interactive Viewer (CIV) is a product designed as an offline Web application
that uses HTML, XML, Java, and JavaScript to create a dynamic learning environment. The proper
functioning of the CIV can be inhibited by applications or operating system configurations
that are designed to protect a computer against viruses or unwanted ads. Other third party
applications installed by or for the user also may adversely affect the operation of the CIV.
Installation of Internet connection software on a computer by or at the instruction of a user's
Internet Service Provider (ISP) may intefere with the proper functioning of the CIV.
Interference with a Challenger program may be eliminated by knowing how to properly
configure or disable the interfering application. Here is an example of an application
interfering with the Challenger program and how to prevent it:
A user has Norton Anti-Virus installed, and the Challenger program will not display
a topic window. Temporarily disabling Norton Anti-Virus should allow the topic window to display.
It is the user's sole responsibility to understand the operation and configuration of their
computer's operating system, software applications, and Web browsers. CIV issues that result
from ISP customizations of a user's computer operating system, Web browsers, and system or user
environment can only be resolved by the ISP, and it is the user's responsibility to contact the
ISP and request a resolution.
