Challenger Announces the Challenger Program for Physician Assistant TrainingTM

Memphis, Tennessee, 03/27/06 - Challenger Corporation announced today the launch of the Challenger Program for Physician Assistant Training (CP-PAT)TM. This program will mirror the Corporation's successful Challenger Program for ResidenciesTM for training and evaluating physicians, which serves nearly forty residency programs. CP-PATTM will combine Challenger's best-selling educational content for physician assistants with the Challenger StatPakTM proprietary statistical and reporting system.

Challenger already serves three client institutions that train physician assistants. Those institutions will be transferred automatically to the new CP-PATTM system. This announcement coincides with the selection of Challenger by its fourth client for physician assistant training, San Joaquin Valley College in Visalia, California.

The Challenger Program for ResidenciesTM will continue to serve Challenger's residency clients in the specialties of emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology.

Challenger owns the world's largest collection of approved electronic CME media, comprising over 3,700 approved hours of credit. Thousands of physicians and other clinicians rely upon Challenger materials to prepare for specialty board exams, re-certification, maintenance of certification, and lifelong learning. Challenger serves the educational and training needs of over 400,000 practicing American primary care and hospital-based physicians and nearly 70,000 physician assistants. Challenger products are approved for physician and PA CME credit through joint sponsorships with nine medical schools and three specialty societies. The library has also been endorsed by the Association for Family Practice PAs (AFPPA) and the Society of Emergency Physician PAs (SEMPA), and is considered the foremost electronic library for preparation for the PA National Certification and Recertfication Exams (PANCE and PANRE).

According to Becca Metzger, Director of Business Development for Challenger Corporation, "Due to the swell of interest in our courses by physician assistant training programs, we were motivated to launch a system dedicated to this clinical training area. Challenger Program for Physician Assistant Training (CP-PAT)TM will allow us to cater directly to the specific needs of the 135 physician assistant training programs across the United States. We have no doubt that CP-PATTM will become the new gold standard system for university, and hospital-based PA training programs seeking to establish, build, or verify their reputation for competency."
