Represent established medical education firm at national and regional trade shows, and by phone. Strong interpersonal skills, good planning and organizational abilities. Must be able to identify, pursue and close qualified physician leads. No order takers, only sales professionals need apply!

Based in Memphis. Substantial travel required. Base pay, benefits, plus commissions. Total package yields $65-100,000 per year.

Proven two years retail or corporate sales experience required. College graduate preferred, but not necessary. Good communication skills a must.

Challenger Corporation, an established medical education firm based in Memphis, Tennessee, is looking for a Programmer Analyst.

Programmer Analyst Summary

Analyzes, develops, implements, and maintains new and applications.

Responsibilities of Programmer Analyst include:
  • Assisting users in determining specific system requirements and devising means of achieving desired end results.
  • Designing systems and defining problems.
  • Coding, testing, and debugging new programs and modifying existing programs.
  • Establishing schedules for project completion/implementation.
  • Designing, modifying, and implementing data base systems.
  • Determining impact of proposed projects on current workloads and defining interface between proposal and current systems, software, and hardware.
  • Performing technical reviews of operating systems to identify/correct problems.
  • Assisting users in performing evaluation of installed systems and in making system adjustments to increase operational effectiveness.
  • Preparing/directing preparation of documentation.
  • Providing technical training and performing other related work as required.
Skills needed:
  • Ability to recommend technological solutions for business problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and customers.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Show initiative and act independently to resolve problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
The following programming skills are required:
  • Web editing skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Java/JSP
  • XML/XSL/XSLT
  • DBA and SQL scripting for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Linux/Unix scripting
  • Apache Web Server
The following programming skills are considered a plus:
  • ColdFusion
  • DBA and SQL scripting for Oracle or MySQL
  • Red Hat Linux and Solaris system admin skills
  • Web Server Administration (IIS or Orion)
